YInformer Terms of Use

This application does not contain any type of virus, spyware, adware, malware or any other kind of malicious file/code.  It will require the use of an internet connection, preferably a high speed (broadband) connection.  You must allow access through any firewall(s) you may have installed on your pc.  This is also in accordance with the PS Soft End User License Agreement.

Licensing
You are granted the full and unlimited use of this program on any pc, there are no registration or license agreements to use it.  YInformer is not open source, therefore meaning, you are not able to download any source code files to modify to your liking.  All requests for source code (full or partial) and/or asking about the packet used or how parsed should be considered denied and ignored.

Liability
You are responsible for your own actions when using this program.  This site, PS Soft or any staff member of; assumes no liability or responsibility for what you do with this application.  This application should not be used to stalk or harass any Yahoo user.  Abuse of this program could lead to your Yahoo ID or IP address getting banned on the Yahoo server end, which in that case there is nothing anyone can do about that.  In more severe cases, if you are stalking or harassing a user to the point that they call police or an attorney, you are on your own.  This application, the servers it is hosted on, the developers or site staff members are not liable nor responsible for your misuse of this program and its features.

By downloading and installing YInformer, you understand and agree that any action taken against you by a person, group, entity, attorney, court or law enforcement agency is strictly between you and them.
We recommend you use YInformer responsibly and only when needed.

Promoting
PS Soft has no issues with you promoting this program as long as it is linked to this site, more instructions below for that.  You may NOT, however, claim this as your program or bundle this program with anything else.  YInformer is a copyrighted, stand alone program that is not affiliated with any other software.  You can not charge any royalties for this application, this also includes charging viewers for access or subscriptions to download it on your site or part of a CD package. We will protect our copyrights.

Are you being stalked or harassed by someone using YInformer?
If you are being stalked and/or harassed by someone using YInformer, please understand that it is the person using it that needs to be dealt with, not YInformer.  YInformer is a tool anyone can use at their own discretion. How a person decides to use it is up to them.  Think of it like a gun and with this philosophy: Guns do not kill people; people kill people.  We do not want to sound "non-sympathetic" to those that are legitimately getting stalked by those using this software though.  There really is no way to prove that the person is using YInformer and not some other pc or web application, unless the person stalking you tells you this.

If sufficient proof is provided, we will do those that are getting repeatedly stalked a service by blocking their ID within YInformer so it can not get scanned anymore. However, we simply will not do it just because it is requested. We will need evidence of stalking or harassment. If you have a Yahoo Instant Message saved with someone stating they used YInformer (repeatedly, not just one instance), you will need to send that to us. It is at our discretion if we take action and block your ID in YInformer.  Please know that we do not have to do this.
We will be more than happy to oblige with law enforcement, court of law or an attorney.  If you are harassed to the extent that you have involved police or courts and a judgment is entered, we will gladly block your name in YInformer.  However, we will need a copy of the judgment from either: a licensed attorney (with an attached business card), a police officer (with an attached business card), a court officer or a Judge. We will not accept them from you directly, even if they are certified copies...it must be from an official source.  We will also make contact with the person who sent the documentation to verify its accuracy.
If this is your situation and can have an authorized person send us the documentation, please contact admin@yinformer.com for more information and a mailing address.  We must speak to you first to get any information needed like your Yahoo ID so it can be blocked.

We know this sounds extreme just to get your name blocked if you are legitimately getting stalked or harassed, but it does consume time and added programming just to add one name to get blocked. We also then need to prepare an update and deploy it.  This is why we will not "just add a name" to get blocked in YInformer.
